Christine A. (Huber) Mach (1946 - 2010)GALESBURG - Christine A. Mach, 64, Galesburg, died Thursday, Sept. 2, at 10:45 a.m. at Marigold Health Care Center in Galesburg. She was born June 12, 1946, in Galesburg, the daughter of Darrel and Audrey Kneer Huber. She married Carl Miller on Feb. 12, 1966, at Faith Methodist Church in Galesburg. She later married Robert Mach on April 1, 1976, at Turkey Creek in Canyon, Colo. Surviving are daughters Amy Miller of Galesburg and Delaney Axcell of East Galesburg; a son, Marc Miller of Naples, Fla.; seven granddaughters, Linze Axcell, Megan Axcell, Samantha Axcell, Emily Miller, Hadley Miller, Samantha Goben and Elizabeth Goben; mother, Audrey Sullivan of Galesburg; and brother Dennis Huber of Galesburg. She was preceded in death by great-grandparents Spencer "Duley" and Bernice Huber and a special friend, Marc White. She was raised and educated in Galesburg, graduating from Galesburg High School in 1965. She attended Carl Sandburg College in Galesburg. She worked for the Mental Health Group Homes for 20 years and then worked in housekeeping at Galesburg Terrace Nursing Home for three years. Cremation rites will be accorded. A celebration of life will be announced at a later date. Memorials may be made to the Knox County Humane Society or the Disabled American Vets.
